BATALEON Women's Thunderstorm Snowboard 2027

Are you a freestyle snowboarder who is side and backcountry-curious? The Women’s Thunderstorm is about to be your best friend, and it starts with the shape. A little bit of taper is paired with a hybrid 3D design (more 3D in the tip than the tail), helping the board turn quickly, float in the deep stuff, and still feel comfortable going both directions. Designed to be poppy, stable, and versatile, the Thunderstorm thrives on high-energy resort riding and is ready for anything you can put in front of it.

Flex: 6/10

Shape: Directional Twin - Boards that need to excel both on the slopes and out of bounds are shaped with evenly proportioned center and side bases and a medium uplift striking the optimal balance for freestyle and freeriding.

High Nose and Medium Tail 3BT+Sidekick - The gradual side base uplift in the nose determines how the board will behave on snow. most effected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder. The gradual side base uplift in the tail determines how the board will behave on snow. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology making our boards more versatile then others.

Bend: Medium Camber - Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better...

Core: Ultra Light Core - A 70/30 Paulownia and poplar blend that offers awesome strength to weight.

D.R.T. Super Tubes - Dual Super Tubes, a Super Tube on either side of the board enhances pop and gives the camber more snap.

Carbon Stringers - Carbon is incredibly lightweight and delivers explosive pop, quick edge response, and exceptional dampening at high speeds. By incorporating carbon fiber stringers into the board’s construction, we can fine-tune the flex and elevate your ride to the next level. 

Fibreglass: Tri-Ax Laminates - Our three-way fiberglass weave is light, strong and crazy responsive. We use this to beef up the flex pattern on our more aggressive boards.

Base: Ultra Glide S - A premium, 7000-grade sintered base reserved for our high-end models. Packing more molecules into the P-tex means it’s super tough and hauls ass.

EXTRAS

Flex Walls - We started stepping away from classic ABS sidewalls some years ago, and now all our boards are made with superior poured-in Urethane sidewalls. This construction method allows for better bonding of the sidewalls to the core, creating a more durable snowboard. On top of this, the unique dampening capabilities of Urethane (yes, the same material used for skateboard wheels) create a much smoother ride than traditional sidewalls.

Step Down Rails Top 3D - This topsheet 3D effect features a slight taper of the deck along the top of the sidewall. This reduces the top-profile, saving weight and adding more precision to your carves.

24 Inserts - A-grade German stainless steel inserts make sure you are locked to your board. These high quality inserts can take years of binding stance switches.
