Developed with pro rider Tor Lundström, the all-new Bataleon Tornado is built for advanced to expert-level snowboarders. This directional twin fuses freeride power with freestyle agility, featuring SideKick™ tips, designed to lift contact points for smoother carving and effortless powder float. At the same time, the MultiSync™ sidecut delivers elite edge hold on any terrain. At Tor’s request, we finished this model with a premium 7000-grade sintered base for maximum speed, making this quiver killer ready to beast in all conditions.

Flex: 8/10

Shape: Directional Twin - Boards that need to excel both on the slopes and out of bounds are shaped with evenly proportioned center and side bases and a medium uplift striking the optimal balance for freestyle and freeriding.

Sidekick 2.0 - SideKick builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

MultiSync Sidecut - Bataleon's new MultiSyn™ sidecut seamlessly blends multiple radii, designed to optimize the shape of your turn, improving edge grip, response, and control in all conditions.

Bend: Medium Camber - Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better...

Core: Ultra Light Core - A 70/30 Paulownia and poplar blend that offers awesome strength to weight.

D.R.S.T. Super Tubes - Dual Radial Super Tubes, similar to DST but with four extra Super Tubes (six in total) running parallel to the board radius, delivering extra power to the edges.

Carbon Stringers - Carbon is incredibly lightweight and delivers explosive pop, quick edge response, and exceptional dampening at high speeds. By incorporating carbon fiber stringers into the board’s construction, we can fine-tune the flex and elevate your ride to the next level. 

Fibreglass: Tri-Ax Laminates - Our three-way fiberglass weave is light, strong and crazy responsive. We use this to beef up the flex pattern on our more aggressive boards.

Base: Ultra Glide S - A premium, 7000-grade sintered base reserved for our high-end models. Packing more molecules into the P-tex means it’s super tough and hauls ass.

EXTRAS

Step Down Rails - This topsheet 3D effect features a slight taper of the deck along the top of the sidewall. This reduces the top-profile, saving weight and adding more precision to your carves.

Flex Walls - We started stepping away from classic ABS sidewalls some years ago, and now all our boards are made with superior poured-in Urethane sidewalls. This construction method allows for better bonding of the sidewalls to the core, creating a more durable snowboard. On top of this, the unique dampening capabilities of Urethane (yes, the same material used for skateboard wheels) create a much smoother ride than traditional sidewalls.

+4 Backseat Inserts - Backseat inserts are extra inserts 4cm behind the bottom inserts. This allows you to set your bindings all the way back, so you can keep floating on those deep pow days. By shifting your weight more back on the board the nose stays up and the pressure on you back leg is reduced.
