Description

Vantum, sounds pretty futuristic right? Well guess what? We’re living in the future, get on a board that’s built for these futuristic times. The Vantum is engineered to be at home on groomers, side hits, in the pow, hell even in the park if you’re feeling sporty. Vantum is meant to be ridden in a traditional length and features RIDE’s directional standard camber, keeping the board stable and ready for takeoff, landing, and everything in between. The new Urethane Channel (technology from the future) uses milled out sections of the core that are then filled with RIDE’s urethane material. Similar to the urethane used in the Slimewalls. Taking tech from the past and pushing it into the future. This Urethane Channels is focused on the nose of the board, keeping the board more stable in the choppiest conditions. No more nose flapping around when you’re charging through the chop. The Vantum uses a tapered quadratic sidecut with the Roll-In Construction to be quick edge to edge, float better in deep snow, and nimble enough to evade the yellow jackets looking to take your pass for launching off that side hit that’s finally shaped just right. Get away from the past and into the future with the all-new Vantum.

Flex: Medium/Aggressive

Shape: Tapered Directional - Designed to be ridden in one direction. More nose than tail, set back stance, and a sidecut to match. Can you still ride it switch? Yeah, of course. Is it going to be as good riding switch all day long? Probably not.

Bend: Standard Camber - Slight traditional camber zone translating to a more responsive feel while not being overpowering.

Sidecut: Linear Quadratic - A directional sidecut utilizing Quadratic curvature from the tip to the rear insert pack, then progressing into a linear section into the tail. This creates smooth catch-free turn initiation and powerful support through the turn exit without losing grip.

Core: Performance Core - High strength Aspen is combined with Bamboo and lightweight Paulownia wood to provide the perfect balance of strong and light.

Zonal Carbon Rails - Carbon fiber strips are placed along the edge of the snowboard from the contact points to the inserts. This allows for a more direct power transfer to the contact points.

Fibreglass: Hybrid Glass - Triaxial on top, biaxial on base; balanced torsional flex and stiffness for better response with speed.

Single Impact Plate - Added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most.

Urethane Fill - Located in the nose of the board, these milled out sections of the core are filled with RIDE’s urethane material (similar to the Slimewall material). Keeping the nose of the board more stable and chatter resistant in the choppiest conditions.

Base: Sintered 4000 - High-end sintered 4000 Ptex base material that is more durable, harder and faster than extruded.

EXTRAS

Slimewalls - RIDE’s exclusive Slimewalls are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on. On top of all that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding.

30% Recycled Steel Edges - Everyone knows about recycling, but nobody thinks about it when it comes to snowboard edges. Hell, do people even think about their snowboard edges? Luckily for you we’re thinking of both. Edges on RIDE Snowboards contain 30% recycled materials. That means part of your snowboard could be made out of a car, an airplane, a building, who knows. Anything steel and recycled could turn into a snowboard edge.

Roll-In Construction - Unique 3D structure built around our urethane Slimewall sidewalls. Designed to increase overall board strength, prevent topsheet chipping, and reduce weight.
