The new Proto T3 Eclipse throws it back to our roots, featuring the first ever Never Summer logo…The Eclipse. The board itself is anything but a throwback. Full of the latest NS snowboard innovations like our Recurve Triple Camber Profile, setback from center and coupled with an extended nose rocker enhancing our Early-Rise and Float Mechanics. What you can’t see might be the biggest thing that sets this board apart. The Precision Stitched Carbon Matrix, aesthetically represented by our T3 Directional Carbon Mapping, combines advanced materials and cutting-edge design. Blurring the lines between Freeride and Freestyle the Eclipse is purpose built for both ends of the spectrum and everything in-between. You’re immediately at home on the Eclipse because it feels like it was designed precisely for you. Our R.I.P. Edge-Hold Technology, 32 mm setback and 10 mm of taper provide unrivaled stability and lighting response. It’s everything you could want in a board and even more you’re not expecting.
**BASE DESIGNS AND COLOURS MAY VARY**
Flex: 6/10
Shape: All Mountain Directional - Directional Shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition
Bend: Triple Camber Recurve Profile - "Take what is traditional and revolutionize it" is how we engineered Triple Camber Recurve - our newest innovation. Triple Camber arched into a powerful traditional camber creates an absolute beast of a snowboard profile. Recurve brings you the ultimate, energetic all mountain feel of traditional camber while giving you an easier ride and more powerful edge hold, made possible by Triple Camber's R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology. This profile dominates all over the mountain and on all different variations of snow. Give Triple Camber Recurve a try and see how we changed the game once again.
Sidecut: Power Grip Sidecut - POWER GRIP SIDECUT utilizes multiple radiuses creating extra contact points to enhance edge hold. A flat section in the rocker area provides a broad contact point when flexed, however when unbent allows the board to track straight and not catch. Flanking this straight section are two shallow radiuses which provide the second and third contact points. Towards the ends of the sidecut are deep radiuses which render quick turn initiation and the final contact points.
Core: PowerSurf Wood Core - A high percentage of lightweight Paulownia is combined with Poplar and Birch running down the middle of the core and Poplar along the sidecut edge. Adding strength and the optimum amount of torsional rigidity. THE POWERSURF WOOD CORE strategically combines these woods in crucial areas of the core for a durable yet lightweight feel.
Fibreglass: Bi-Lite Fiberglass - BI-LITE FIBERGLASS combines many of the strength characteristics of our STS fiberglass with an ultra light glass fiber matrix. This delivers incredible freestyle and freeride performance without sacrificing durability.
Precision Stitched Carbon Matrix (PSCM) with T3 Carbon Mapping Embossment. - This innovative process weaves variable thicknesses of carbon fiber into targeted zones precisely aligning with performance points for unmatched energy transfer and control. PSCM enhances performance where it matters most—turning every ride into an elevated experience.
Base: Durasurf XT Sintered 5501 Base - Our suppliers have developed an exclusive, super fast, durable sintered base specifically for our boards. Just the right amount of graphite has been added making the DURASURF XT SINTERED 5501 BASE one of the fastest and certainly the most durable P-Tex bases on the market..
EXTRAS
R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology - While other companies stick to edge technology that tweaks the side edge of the board, jutting out and receding like a serrated blade creating a catchy feeling, our R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology marks a revolutionary leap in snowboard design. Instead of the traditional 'grabby' wavy edges that drag through the snow, this new technology integrates waves into the board’s profile on the base plane, creating multiple high pressure points while allowing for smooth glide without drag. This unique design ensures consistent pressure when on edge, leading to smoother, more balanced rides.
RDS 2 Damping System - RDS 2 or Rubber Damping System 2 is the perfect balance of freeride stability and freestyle liveliness. A more substantial system than a freestyle board to stabilze the board at higher speeds but a little less than damping in a freeride board for leaving the snow. An ideal combination of vibration absorbtion and energetic feel.
Sintered UHMW Polyethylene Sidewall - We were the first snowboard company to use and perfect UHMW POLYETHYLENE SIDEWALL (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), and we've never seen one crack. Unlike conventional ABS sidewalls, that have a tendency to crack in colder temperatures, UHMW POLYETHYLENE SIDEWALL maintain their integrity at any temperature. UHMW Polyethylene sidewalls also enhance damping characteristics above the metal edge.
STS Pre-tensioned Fiberglass - The world's best snowboard fiberglass, period. Our STS PRETENSIONED FIBERGLASS is an advanced pre-hardened, pre-tensioned, layered laminate that has added elastomer stringers between the 0 degree and 90 degree glass fibers (the length of the effective edge). This produces a stronger bond between the individual glass laminates giving our snowboards unmatched strength, edge hold and performance. Most bows use this type fiberglass due to it's unmatched ability to spring back and cast an arrow at a tremendous velocities without breaking.
P-Tex Nose/Tail Protection - P-TEX TIP/TAIL PROTECTION places UHMW or Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene out to the ends of the board for incredible durability. This material protects these crucial ends of the boards from impact damage and will not crack or break. It not only absorbs impact but also a high amount of residual vibration, while sealing and protecting the wood core.
Co-Extruded Polymer Topsheet - The PREMIUM TOPSHEETS are our very durable, lightweight, scratch and chip resistant fiber backed thermoplastic. These premium topsheets also provide extremely vibrant colors along with more grip than other topsheet materials, working as a built in stomp pad.
Elastomeric Underfoot Stabilizers - ELASTOMERIC UNDERFOOT STABILIZERS are placed directly below the mounting area, providing optimum vibration and shock absorption and increase high-speed stability. These underfoot stabilizers also add cushioning while reducing foot fatigue.
Extended Transition Area - A flat section of a snowboards profile, the TRANSITION AREA, that lies at the end of the camber zones just before the tip/tail rise. This area smooths out the transition between the camber area and the tip rise for fluid turn initiation and enhanced powder floatation.
Early-Rise Float Mechanics - EARLY RISE is a longer tip section that comes off the snow closer to the front binding area. This front end rise and float design gives a board incredible lift in powder, slush and heavier snow conditions. This also provides very smooth turn initiation compared to a traditional steeper kick transition that tends to plow or push snow when engaging a turn.
